What a magnificient double bill at the O2 Academy in Bristol last night with 2 of the great underrated rock acts.

Diamond Head....

....were first up with a heavy rocking set of staple classics culminating in the inevitable:

...and the main event....

Great musicianship, a towering presence of a frontman who can actually sing (a la David Coverdale in his pomp), and a back catalogue of both well known and lesser known gems mixed in with plenty from the new album.

The set included Carrie, Chereokee, Seventh Sign, Seven Doors Hotel, Sign Of The Times, Rock The Night and, of course (on You Tube):
