Glamorgan v Durham, County Championship Division 2, Swansea, 26-29/05/17

Glamorgan produced an astonishing day four run chase to record their first Championship win of 2017, over a Durham side struggling in Division 2, after their ECB imposed demotion over the close season.

On a glorious Day 1, Durham made 342 all out mainly thanks to a superb 127 from visiting captain, veteran Paul Collingwood. Michael Hogan mopped up the tail to take 5 for 49.

Steady rain greeted the start of Day 2, with the start delayed until 2.30. Glamorgan managed to build after a faltering start and, as skies brightened on Day 3, gained a first innings lead of 11 runs after posting 353, with contributions from Aneurin Donald (51), Chris Cooke (69) and a career best 75 from Andrew Salter.

A rain delay on day 4 halted Durham's ability to set the sort of target they wished, but a spirited declaration meant a Glamorgan target of 266 in 51 overs.

A slow start seemed to make the chase unlikely, but Nick Selman held the pursuit together and hit 14 runs off the last over, including two sixes, to give Glamorgan victory by 3 wickets with only 3 balls to spare.
